help with service packs

hiya all

i got a hp pavilion dv9700 (dv9823em)
i have been cleaning it up by removing all old programs thats not needed or used
put ccleaner on it
defraggler

well looking at it i have SP1 shall i try and upgrade it to another SP like 2 or 3 and how do i go about this.

any risks, not clued up on drivers and how to install some stuff, also will it effect my system - EG graphics

It looks like it came with Vista and it only goes up to SP2.
