i have been having a problem with my desktop and need some help. Ok so first my computer has been buggy. Everytime i try to shut down I get the blue screen and then i would have to push the power button.
Now after reformatting i have a new problem; when i push the shut down button on win xp i do not get the blue screen anymore however it just reboots now. I have no idea why it is doing that.
Could it be some kind of hardware problem i have been having? mobo, hard drive?
My friend suggested it could be the IDE drivers on my computer. I have a shuttle an35n ultra 1.1 mobo which uses a nvidia chipset and he said nvidia is known to have buggy ide drivers. I did not install the ide drivers from nvidia when i was installing the mobo drivers.
Could someone give me some idea of how I could fix this problem?
