Help with Silverlight

I can download microsoft silverlight. When i click on it to install, it Has the blue bar that says "extracting files". and when its done, thats as far as it goes. So I cannot get it to actually install. Any one Have any thing to try?

assuming you're getting the silverlight from microsoft temporarily disable your antivirus program.

After the data has been extracted,go to the path location on which the data has been extracted to and run the setup from there manually and see if it works.
Because sometimes setup does not run automatically after the data has been extracted.
