help with upgrading RAM

hey there, i've currently got 512 RAM and am looking to upgrade to a Gig however I'm not sure what RAM will be compatible

i currently have a PB Imedia 1706

well, one thing that will help....is this: Crucial
ONe thing you can also do, is take your RAM out...and tell us what it says...her eis an example of mine :

yeh i did try that sight however my PC isn't on there :/ and when i try auto detect says i have an NEC, but its a packard bell

ok had a look inside and all it says on my RAM is DDR, 400, CL3

none the wiser :/

Then that should mean you have DDR400 RAM, Any DDR ram should work and fit fine(Not DDR2 though!!!) So the link you posted of ram should work fine with your machine.
