help with xp home

hi guys
am having a problem with my computer and i accidently deleted
some essential system files ...i gotta few error messeges including the
un- installation of
kb83945
gdiplus.man
kb833987 among others
or restart my computer shows a error msg of NTLDR file missing.
i would like to know if it is possible to fixa winodws xp home edition
with a windows xp professional CD

Not as far as I know, but why not just install pro? Make a back up of anything you need and whack it in?

cant you not connect your hard drive to another computer as a slave drive and take what you need from there, otherwise I think you are stuck and would have to do a clean install of Pro, either that or borrow a copy of Home from someone.

As men tioned, try running your hdd as a slave on another computer or if this is not an option, trying your pro disc to fix the home edition wont make you any worse off.

Worst case scenario is you have to reinstall but with pro and you'll lose everything.

That would be your only problem.

Try a repair install of XP. If all goes well it will reinstall and leave your programs and files intact.
