I need help with an ftp server, i have the router setup with port forwarding, and what not, but when someone tries to input the IP, it times out. Ideas?

What is the internet connection you are using???

What browser are you using?

Try changing the timeout settings of your browser.

because when someone just plunks in an ip address in their browser it is going to use the standard http port 80. they would need to put the ip plus the ftp port assignment as well. (ie: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:21)
