Help !!!

I brought a new acer the last month
and it came with vista basic
soo i scraped up the pennies and brought a ultimate upgrade
the computers specs are fine for the upgrade
but when i upgraded it , i placed it on another partition
thinkin that if it went wrong i could accses the first os
Well it went wrong and badly
i tried booting from my xp disc ( i get the B.S.O.D before the install has even begun) i tried linux just to see if i could actualy get it to run an OS
same again,
i tryed booting from the vista disc same
i have tried everything,
Please help
and i dont no much about SATA's does that make any diffrence ? ? ? ? ? ?

It's an Acer. That's the problem.

Have you tried to do a clean install? Wipe the harddrive and then install. Although the upgrade will only help if you have a back up of basic to install. I'll go look into it some more.

Can you post you system info?

couldnt you pretty much apply that to any company?

Did you get a chance to read the BSOD or did it just restart?

Well yeah, but I've run into a lot more problems with Acer computers than anyother.
