My computer runs ok until i start to burn a downloaded video file onto a DVD. Half way through the converting process my computer just shuts down without any warning. I scan all files to make sure they are "clean".
I use nero 7, but have tried other software with the same result.
Any know why this is happened?

Depending on the type of video file(Which you claim claimed you scanned, highly points towards this), it is illegal, and therefore against forum rules to discuss.

What exactly is the file you are trying to convert?

Is your computer getting to hot? Not to say that is the problem, but it could be.... I know my computer gets hot when I burn CDs and DVDs, and sometimes shuts down when it overheats.
