Hi, I am about to buy a used 2.7 GHz PowerMac G5 form a very reputable seller on ebay, The computer has no HDD, so can i buy a new one put it in and run Tiger, or Leopard?? or will it not work!!!:confused:
 
nope, you will have to install the os onto the hdd before it will work, and idk where you can just get an apple os disk.
 
point was i don't know of a way you can get apple's osx on there, only other thing is to get ubuntu on there since it's similar to osx since they both originate from unix, but it won't run apple or windows stuff, although it can run some windows things through a special program, but i say this cuz it is free and can be installed from a usb drive or cd, windows install disks cost 100
 
i suppose you can, and btw that docking station is pointless, you can just install it into the case with like 1 or 2 screws.
