my friend just build his pc and we are havng problems with the system pannel connectors

The case is a HAF 912 and the motherboard is a P8H61 and I have done what the instruction manual stated and the switches dont work. I know the case works because it worked on my motherboard:mad: could it be that the motherboard is damaged?

none of them have been bent now we are just moving the cables around and its really annoying :(

everything is brand new anything that could cause this problem?

Are you sure that you are plugging the cables in the correct places? Do you have any standoffs installed underneath the motherboard? If not, you need them.

Can you take the board out of the case, rest it on a book or something and try powering it up like that?

I have all the cables in the standoffs in

how would i check the motherboard outside of the case?

Take the board out of the case, rest it on a book or something that's not carpet or metal, and then plug the 24-pin power cable into the board and the 4- or 8-pin CPU power cable. Also plug the graphics card in as well as any power connectors needed for that if you cannot use the onboard video. Then you can short the starter pins on the board using a screwdriver or if your board has onboard power buttons, use those. It should hopefully start up as normal.
