Some basic questions that I know I should know.
What is the difference between Intel and AMD?
What is the difference between Core Duo? what is a Conroe?
*I know it sounds noobish, but I need to know. Thanks,

Core Duo-32bit Dual core/Conroe- Core 2 Duo- 64bit Dual core

Intel have been behind AMD for many years but recently Intel has taken the lead with the Core 2 Duo. The Core 2 Duo is the simply the newest lineup from Intel dual core processor line. Conroe is the code name for the higher level Core 2 Duo processors like E6600, E6700, X6800

Do you have to have all Intel parts if the system is an Intel?
Intel motherboard etc.

no you dont


but everything has to be compatible. so the motherboard has to have the C2D socket and the RAM has to be wat the motherboard can take
