Help?

I've got a friend who's getting angry because something on his computer is deleting his saved files. He goes to University and it's deleting his work. He does virus checks twice daily and nothing comes up. Anyone know what it is and how to stop it...

Could be one of many reasons but why not tell your friend to put a password on the file before it can be accessed.

I recommend getting a jump drive. Takes 5 sec to back-up your work onto it.

Post a hijack log of his. It could be something deeper that simple virus scans won't detect or with against. Info here:

Other than that, since you said he goes to a university, do you mean that he is dorming there?
