hey guys, i built my computer like 2 years ago and now im experiencing some wierd problem. Whenever i shut down my computer, somehow my fans inside stay on, as well as the motherboard. what could be the problem? Motherboard, or Power supply? Thanks....

yeh, like you can hear the hard drive shutting down, the main fan goes slower, and thats the way it shuts off....

You can try enabling Legacy APM support in XP by going to the control panel, clicking on the power options,
and see if you have an APM tab. If you do, enable the legacy APM support on
that tab. That may enable proper shutdown.

Control Panel > Power Options

Select the "Advanced" tab at the top of the window. Second option from the bottom should be "When I press the power button on my computer...". I would guess the option selected for you is "Stand by". Change that to "Shut Down". Problem solved.
