I have installed a new AGP graphics card - put it in, screwed it on and connected the monitor to the back of it. I turn on my computer n theres no picture?! why?
 
First make the bios setting is for AGP not PCI and if you have onboard that is disabled. The worst is having bought a bad card. One other thing to check before that however is to make sure the card is seated down in the slot. You may have to reseat it.
 
If you already had an AGP card installed and simply replaced the old one the bios would have already been set for AGP for the old card. If you are now adding a new card while having used onboard video you would refer to the manual for the board to see how to make the changes needed in the settings. Generally that will be found in the "Integrated Peripherals" section of the bios setup.

The DEL or another assigned button is pressed immediately on seeing the first post screen when turning the system on. If this is a prebuilt or new board a manufacturer's logo will block the view of the post tests while still showing which key to press to enter the bios. But look over the user manual before going in there to see what that says.
 
Isn't there another thread of the same topic? The most common key for the BIOS is DEL, but some other manufacturers use the Fx keys, so you just have to read what it says when the computer first starts and it displays your system information.
 
just take it out and give it a good amount of force on each end cause theres a good chance 1 end isnt touching all the way, another thing u can try is using ur other video card and downloading the drivers first maby
 
Without the initial post screens being seen it's either a bios setting namely the PCI/AGP setting, the onboard is still enabled if you have that. or the card unfortunately needs to be replaced by the vendor if found bad. Often however a bad card will set off a series of audio beeps if not seated fully or defective with a long followed by two short beeps.
 
why do you have 3 post on this same issue and in one you say that the card is works fine sometimes when im playing games it just freezes and on this one it dont work at all

I thinkn you are just spamming the usnotbook add.
