My friend has been wanting to build a desktop for a while now, and he's asked me for some help.
Specs:
He's probably only going to be playing games like MineCraft, Cube World, Oblivion, and Source games. Obviously, these specs are beyond that, but he'd prefer something a bit more upgradeable, and he'd like the option to play games like Skyrim if he decides to. That's why I've opted for the 6 core CPU and Sli/Crossfire MoBo.
I know that's a lot at once, but he's spending a lot of money, and I want it to be a good experience for him. Help is greatly appreciated.
Specs:
CPU $120
MoBo $100
GPU $90
HDD $70
Memory $60
PSU $80
CD/DVD Drive $20
Case $70-ish. Haven't found one yet.

There are few things I'd like help with:
-I want to be absolutely sure there aren't any compatibility issues with the parts I've picked. I'm 99% sure they're fine, but it's not my money, so I want a second opinion.
-I'd also really appreciate suggestions on cheaper parts, and good cases- I'd like to get as close to his budget as possible.
-And lastly, I'm wondering if the stock thermal pad will be enough for this needs, or if he should grab some thermal paste. I doubt he'll be OC'ing.
