hey i installed windows xp on my friends computer (a clean install) and now the sound doesnt work , the usb drives dont work and etc. What is the probelm here ?
 
nothing - windows xp is like that sometimes. find out the manufacturer of the sound and usb and download drivers for them, then they should work.
 
If you are using sound card implemented on motherboard, you will need install driver to sound from CD which came along with motherboard. You should install chipset driver too.
