helppp ! New graphic card

hello, i have my computer witch is 2 years old..msi motherboard..and i wanted to buy a new graphic card..right now im running Nvidia 5200fx ..
i bought a brand new ati sapphire 520mb GDDR3 AGP ...i bought AGP because the nvidia 5200fx is agp..so i guess they match..well i plug it in..start comp and i get a black screen..
icant even enter bios or safe mod with it..cant see anything..right now im back to the 5200fx..please help! what to do! i dont have an onboard graphic thingy..dont think so..no other slot to put my screen..! help ty.
 
In order for the proper AGP port driver to load, the chipset must be recognized by the operating system. Some systems require the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility(if you have an Intel chipset...which I assume you do) in order for the operating system to fully recognize the chipset.

Also check the MSi forum and see if other people have had this problem. Post your full specs (motherboard model, motherboard chipset, graphics card model, operating system, BIOS version) With this info we can see if your operating system will reconize the graphics card chipset. It is common that the operating system will not reconize the AGP card. Without all this info nobody can do any research and help you.
