TOTAL COST OF MONEY! ESTIMATE: 2000$

An 8800GTX would be a good choice. Personally I don't think that the E6700 is worth the extra money over the E6600.

I'd also switch the PSU to a Corsair HX620 (you can get it cheaper here) or HX520 (which is more than sufficient for a single GTX).

the case is junk( very ugly to say precisly). u can get a much better case for 130 bucks.
find one which is quite and actually cools your system well.

and shit thats alot of money.
don.t hurry. you are all fired up are you?

this is way too powerful. you will never use it.

and games is a real waste of time
I know one guy who lost all his life playing games
his wife divorsed him, he lost good job.

I wasted one summer on games. after that I never played.
last time I played was 2 weeks ago for 4 hours just to test my video card.
other than that....

if you are going to school buy asus 14.1 A8jp I think laptop.

I got 7800gt because my bro is graphics designer and uses many 3d software
maya. and he works on photoshop on 500mb files. I have to tell you 2gigs of ram
e6300 at 2.5ghz is more than he needs. of course sometimes it takes up to 10 seconds to
finish an resourse needy job but on average it's blasing fast. the only thing that slows him down is
his mouse(pen) speed.

although I should have gotten a bs card and then buy a dx10 card.

I just did a $2000 system build with the same mobo, which is an excellant mobo.

I bought the EVGA GeForce 7950GT 512MB Superclocked Video Card. I think its a great card for the price. The only limitation on this card is the DX10 support, but that doesn't bother me right now.

Things you may want to include in your build & final price:

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound <--- great stuff, must have
Monitor (I bought the SCEPTRE 22" widescreen monitor)
Keyboard
Mouse
DVD burner(s)
Operating System
Printer/Scanner

there is such thing called homework.
it would take a while to find good case. look at sticky 101 case thread
in cases and psu forum.

my friend has this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129154

his e6300 ran 15C cooler than mine. both werein the same room. both had stock e6300 heat sinks and fans.
but he had asus p5b deluxe mobo with intel 975 chip. I have p5b-e. I don't think mobo has much effect on cpu cooling
(we were building our pcs together)
I have coolermaster 5. best case for 40 dollars.
I think steel cases are better cooler. but not sure check in that sticky thread.

and either buy 8800 nvidia or buy low end card and wait until
there are dx9 dx10 intercompatable cards. 8800 is compatable with both.
