As in 1st post and 1st time with problem: I tried to 'stand by' today in our 2.4 p4 Gateway desktop today, walked away from it, came back and hit enter only to have the fast noisy hard drive that normally spins fast for about 5 seconds when booting up, spin constantly and preventing boot up-no video feed at all either.
Anyone ever hear of this or solve this condition? Of course the PC is almost 2 yrs old so no support from Gateway. No other probs with the Gateway otherwise so far amazingly enough. Thanks!
