I'm building a new rig (my first one to build) and I have some parts picked out but wanted your opinions. thanks!

Oh yeah.. I'm building it for recording music and video editing. So will i need to buy an extra sound card??? Oh and of course, gaming. :) I also want it to look "cool" such as neon cathodes, clear case etc.

CPU

Video Card

HDD

1000W PSU ($70 and already bought)

RAM

MOBO

Case? I need help on a case. I'd like all clear but do those have bad air flow?

+1, if you want to use the Phenom II x4 955, you'll have to go with a socket AM3 (AMD) motherboard. Unless you're willing to spend more and go i7?

Why would you want an acrylic case anyways?

Simply because they look cool. Do you think 4g of ram is enough?
