I am just starting to become intrested in re-building my computer. What i have now is a 6600 gt video card, 2800+ amd 64 bit processor and some kind of nvidia motherboard. I recently bought a 7900 gt video card, a 3700+ amd 64 bit processor and a foxconn motherboard, sli compatible. what i want to know; is this a good upgrade (hope so) and also will my power supply be sufficent. i think it is between 350-400 watts.
Thanks alot

SOunds like a decent upgrade. I would have gone with a dual core processor though. Your power supply probably won't be sufficient, but don't hold me to that. It depends on the connectors and such that it has. How old is it?

You might want to look at a slightly higher end CPU. The 64 X2's are pretty reasonably priced these days due to the competition from Intel.

I'm note sure if you need a socket AM2 or 939, but for <$200 you can get a 64 X2 for either.

Just a thought.
