Hey guys, my laptop crapped and college started!

I have a compaq presario v2403NR notebook. Recently I came home to find the screen saver frozen. I held the power button until the machine shut down. I then pushed the power button again to turn it back on. The LED power light comes on, the disc drives begin turning the cd and then it stops before it gets wound up. Nothing is displayed on the screen, keys do nothing. It sits quietly. I took the cd out and it still does the same. I have tested the power cable also. I removed the battery and reinstalled, removed the hard disk and reinstalled, and removed the ram and reinstalled. Still nothing. Any ideas?

i had the same problem with a toshiba laptop and never got it fixed

If you had the lappy on an pillow you probably overheated it.

do you have a warranty? if so i would recommend giving them a phone.

did you try booting with one stick of RAM in at a time?
