Hello everyone. So i am new to this forum and it looked great so i joined.
I just bought all of my computer parts, spent all my money on it, and i really hope that it was money well spent. I am totally new to the computer building stuff. Please let me know what you think. I will be using this for gaming of course.

Before i start, please let me know if my power supply is good for this, i have been really stressing out that it will not do, but at the same time i have nomoney for another one. Some people say that i will be perfectly fine, others say that i am screwed. Let me know how i did on the parts i chose. Thanks for your help.

dw so much about the psu. people make it out like 'omfg!!! thats 20 W less then the specified manual requests!!!!!!!! OMG YOUR GONNA DIE!!!'

LOL dw about it

You should have gotten the e6600. Your CPU is only a small 240mhz faster than e6600 which is not worth the $200 extra bucks. You can also easily overclock your CPU to another 240mhz more to gain back the slight perfomance drop. So you would have paid 300 for a 500 CPU.

Also make sure your motherboard will support 2.5GB of memory. Usallly motherboards will support 128kb, 256kb, 512kb, 1GB, 2GB, 3GB, 4GB but sometimes not in between.

Other than that everything looks good.

actually, most motherboards support any ram that is the right speed, because i have a 256 corsair and a 1gbOCZ together and they run great...

If you wait until april 22 then the prices will drop on the Intel, so maybe the 6700 won't be that expensive, but I'd wait until then to see what happens

I'm pretty sure the e6700 is going down to the price of the e6600 after the price cuts. Maybe someone can post up the chart to show all the new prices because I forgot the link.

yeah, i agree. many people talk about oc'ing the lower-end counterpart of a certain cpu, and saving some money, while they dont think about the fact that you can also oc the higher-end cpu...

He can also OC the 6700 a bunch, far beyond the 6600. He isnt losing money at all.

I was telling him to get the e6700(which he did,but he got it too soon). If he waited until the price drops on sunday he could(and still can if he decides to return) get the e6700 in the low $300's(the current price of an e6600). Maybe the company he(the thread starter) bought his e6700 from does price matching and he wont even have to return anything.
