(AMD Athlon 64 PR3500)

(ASUS A8V Deluxe WiFi-G, Via K8T800 Pro, FSB1000, DC DDR400)

(ASUS GeForce 6800 GT, 256MB DDR3, TV-Out, 2x DVI)

what is the processor speed of the PR3500? Is it 3.5? or is that what youc an overclock to? I don't really know much about coverclocking. I need to get something for gaming, and i hear athlon is the way to go. I have a junk motherboard right now (ASRock) with an intel 3.0 w/ HT and 1.5 gigs of ram... this however runs like a 1.6 with 512 megs of ram.... so the motherboard is junked (there was a thread about this on here before... some of you may recall it, not sure)

is the the PR3500 much better then the PR3200? Because price wise it's a big jump!

thanks in advance....

The speed of that cpu is 2,2Ghz & 3500+ is it's performance rating.

Have a look here at Newcastle vs the Winchester.

Basically an Athlon 64 3500+ will run somewhere near the same speed as an Intel 3.5Ghz. However, this does fluctuate depending on what you are running. AMD tends to run games better, Intel tends to run applications better.
