Hi, I'm Interested's friend. Please help me choose my motherboard.

Hi Everyone,
Today my friend, Interested, posted a thread about a $500 computer for his friend. I am his friend. So far I came up with these parts, but I need help on choosing my motherboard, I found a decent one, I think, but I'm not sure if it will work. My motherboard needs to be able to run LGA 775 for my 2.4 GHz E4600 processor, and a PCI Express X16 8600 GT video card. Here are the parts; btw all of these items I'm getting on NewEgg.

CPU: E4600 (2.4GHz).
Motherboard: Biostar P4M890-M7.
RAM: Pny Optima $GB MD4096KD2.
Hard Drive: Western Digital SE WD2500 JS.
Video Card: Leadtek PX8600GT TDH 512MB GeForce 8600GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 HDCP.
DVD Burner: LH-20A1S
Case: Xoxide Alien-X Case (not from NewEgg)

Relatively cheap motherboards with great overclocking features.

Is that 4 gig of ram your wanting to buy? If so, are you going to be using Vista 64 bit or Xp 64 bit? If you are not going to be using a 64bit OS then you do not need 4 gigs of ram, since a 32 bit OS will only see 3.25 or so of it. Anything over 2 gigs is a waste when using a 32 bit OS.

You picked the wrong ram for that board, you should get some DDR2 800 for it instead of DII533. And you only need 2 gigs total of ram for that system.

You would be better off with this.

i did get DDR2, but its 533, would the 533 be a problem?

The DDr2 533 is a slower ram than the DDR2 800. And the motherboard you picked runs best on DDR2 800

Yeah, that ram would be fine as well. I just like corsair.

If you plan on overclocking that DDR2 533 then you could use it, but for the fastest system you should get the 800.
