ok, sure we'll do our best, first up, we need to know the exact error message that comes up, a screenshot of it is best, so we can see what else is happening. Secondly, have you installed any new programs recently, modified any file type associations, anything like that??

Get back to us and we'll go from there...

Yes, getting the exact error message relayed to us is the best so we know exactly what the problem may be.

Additionally, are you using XP's default zip tool (assuming u have xp) to open the zip or are you using tools like WinZIP and WinRAR?

Often when attaching files to emails the upload is incomplete. If the file has an "exe" extension on it your firewall or antivirus utilities may automatically prevent these files from being opened. Or it could very well be your Internet Explorer security settings not allowing for either download of opening of files attached to incoming mail. If they have an executable extension have the sender(s) zip them up into an archive using WinZip or another familiar compression utility.

i think you should re-read the first post, they are already zip files, being sent through MSN... nothing to do with exe files

I find people prefer several similar answers than several different answers. If you feel I have taken ur credits, dont feel bad. It just reinforces the knowledge you bestowed since you were the first to point it out.;)

Oh and also, I always add conclusions where it could be other possibilities along the same line.

Did you read that post further to understand the term "not completely uploaded" meaning the original was not completely uploaded to the server when one or more emails with attached files were sent as well as firewalls and other settings preventing the opening of files attached to emails such as found in the Outlook settings as well as that in IE?
