Hibernate mode

I have noticed for a while that my computer does not go into hibernate mode after setting the time limit to one hour. The computer stays on stand by until I resume using the computer. Is there a setting on the computer that disables hibernation mode.

How to disable Hibernate In XP: Start menu -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> Power Options -> Hibernate tab -> Uncheck the box

In Vista:

1. Press the WINDOWS key and type cmd into the Start Search box but *don't* press ENTER

2. Right-click on cmd in the Programs list and select Run As Administrator

3. Click Continue when the UAC prompt appears

4. Type powercfg -h off and press ENTER
