Hibernate option in windows

This option requires a certain amount of space that I don't have on my windows partition but I do have on my other partitions, is there any way to get windows to use another partition for the space it needs for this function?

Is there any reason I shouldn't use this function instead of the shut down function, meaning use this function to turn the computer off over night?
I have a lot of wordpad windows running at all times where I make notes on different subjects and at the end of the day it is a pain to save all this stuff and then write reminders on paper to myself "open this file here and deal with this" it would be much more convenient if I could use hibernate and then in the morning turn the computer on and have all these wordpad windows just open up.

No, as far as I can tell you can't change which drive the hibernate file is on.

What you could do is either keep those wordpad files in a folder on your desktop, saved each time you shut down, and then disable hibernation in Power Options.

Or try Evernote, it's pretty damn awesome.
