Hidden Files?

I just recently got a new computer with windows 7
I just deleted Quicken and reinstalled it. It had all my old files on it
The same thing happened when I deleted Office 2007 and reinstalled it.
It had the old settings for Word. It looks like the files are left after the deletion.
What are they called and where would I find them?

All the files you created were most likely stored in the "my documents" folder. When you uninstall a program, it doesn't delete any files that you created with it, only the program itself. As far as program settings go, use revo uninstaller and it should find them and delete them.
