to open a hidden folder you need to be able to see it:
1. Open My Documents or and folder
2. Tools->Folder Options
3. Click on the View tab
4. In the scrollable area, in the upper part, under the folder with the text
"hidden files and folders" click the radio button next to the text "show hidden files
and folders"
5. At the top click the button that says "Apply to all folders"
6. Click Yes in the popup dialog
7. Click Ok
Now when browsing through folders hidden folders and files will appear, most should not be messed with if your not an experienced user.
