Hi every1,

I have a problem here - my computer savvy hubby has installed two hidden user accounts. Found that out by accident. C/docandsettings. There are 2 in there that shouldnt be there. I know he is using them - can find things when i type it into seach files.
I just dont know how to get into them. I managed to get to security window on startup when it asks me for username and password. I type in username = to the user account info i found in C/docandsettings and I played around with passwords but i cant get into it.

I went into the registry and looked in winlogon but the 2 user accounts arent there. Does that mean he keeps erasing them before he get off the computer?

The two user account names are still in Docandsettings. They are "a" and "e". Can any1 help me how to get into the hidden accounts if i dont have the password.

I am not really familiar with computers just spent all morningn figuring this out.

I am serious - a lot is at stake for me / more for him.

PS: if i installed a keylogger, would it be logging all the info from all user accounts - even hidden ones?

Thanks

Because i have a 2 yr old daughter and it is very important for me and for her to know what he is doing. Hope u understand what i mean

I think it's againt the forum rules to disclose how to get around password protected stuff like this.

so none of u know how to do this?
where can i get help then?
You dont know how i feel right now. some1 give me something to work with here.

Thier right, unfortunately we can't tell you how to do anything like that, no matter what the suitation is.
To be honest hidden accounts can be made for anything from back-up administration accounts to things that hold back up data in case he gets locked out on his other accounts. I have a hidden account on my pc (before it died :( ) as a back-up admin, I made it hidden to prevent people from trying to hack into it jsut as you are trying to do now.

All in all, I am sure that there is nothing to worry about.

Hope this helps.
Hellbreather.

Yeah, As much as I'd like to help you out we can't...

Like Hellbreather said, I'm sure there isn't anything to be worried about... :)

If you are really all that worried just sit down and tell him and talk...

You could try asking him?

Well yeah i think the only think you could do is what Kornowski said and try asking him.

Other than that we cant realy help you without breaking the forum rules and we wont be doing that now:)

Regardless of how sympathetic the people who answered your request may or may not be, I'm afraid they're correct not to help you. The forum rules are clear that malicious computer activity cannot be discussed, and regardless of your situation, the use of a keylogger in this case would be illegal, and in this case what you're asking to do would fall within the bracket of malicious computer activity.

While I have no right to comment on your distrust of your husband, nor know where this distrust has come from, if you don't want to talk to him about what may be a morally and legally innocent use of the accounts, then you will have to go elsewhere to get the answers you need.
