High DPI mouse recommendations?

Hey all, i currently have the eblue mouse in my sig. Its good for fps but i need something quicker for starcraft 2.

Im looking for the cheapest, large mouse i can find, preferably with side buttons.

budget probably around 50 quid, it needs to be large for a palm grip.

I was looking at the rat 5, how is it in terms of build etc.

Any other suggestions?

I've got a Logitech G400, cost £27 from Amazon and goes up to 3600 DPI and has programmable buttons (8 in total, 2 on the side). Or I'd go for the Logitech G500, it's not much more but goes up to 5700 DPI and has removable weights. Never used the Rat 5 or any of the other Rat mice out there so wouldn't know about the build quality of those but certainly my G400 is well-built, would imagine the G500 is too.

I would get a logitech but i hate the way they look. Im very much into tacky looking gear lol.it also doesnt look very big. But thanks for the suggestions

The G400 is a pretty big mouse too. I think the Logitechs look nice, I'm not a great fan of the RAT's looks to be honest. The Logitech G500 is still going to be my recommendation because of the removable weights and the 5700 DPI. How high a DPI do you need? The old MX518 was a nice looking mouse but it only did 1800 DPI I think?

I was looking for more than 3200, 4000 is more where i want to be. To be honest after searching online im pretty hard struck by the rat.

Just waiting for any input in quality and longevity.

Iv actually been thinking, and reading online, and come to the conclusion that the g500 is my best bet :P

It may not look the way i want it but its the only mouse consistently recommended, consistantly praised and one that iv seen less problems with online. The rats apparently have problems due to the twin lasers so yeah. g500 here i come :P

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I have a Razer Deathadder (3500 dpi). It was kindof an impulse buy but I found out that I got a really good deal on it afterwards $45. Had I done my research though I probably would have went with one of logitechs offerings. Nonetheless its a good mouse. Not the best for sc2, as I like to use more of a claw grip for rts games, which the deathadder isn't really suited for (it's more of a palm grip mouse).

Im definately more of a palm grip guy.

That said i fancied a deathadder but the sher amount of people that say theyre of bad quality is quite off putting.

I also like the features of the g500 which i didnt realise it had until i actually started considering it :P

Just a bit gutted it doesnt look tacky haha, i like tacky looking equipment :P

Lol yea, like I said had I done some research I would have gone with one of the Logitech mice as they're very well reviewed
