I wouldn't know about that so much. The ones I worked with would make large holes in walls provided they didn't go right through you. BOOM! :eek: !!! crash, crunch... aaaaaaa... ______ 'we got no pulse" "sad lot... 220v"
 
well... its funny to see someone walking away from that desk cursing, because he jsut got a shock by one of those.. :P
I know... that isnt a nice thing to to.. but surely its funny :D
 
You wouldn't think so if you got zapped royally by one! Some caps hold enough of a charge equal to a large storage battery. The amps alone you will launch you through the zzzzap! aiirrrrrrrr...... :eek: ! .....wat happen me? :confused: (and you could hear the birds chirping tweet tweet uuph)
 
thats why I never use any bigger than 47uF ;)
i tested it myself.. and 47uF doesnt hurt at all.. uit just gets you by supprise if one shocks you :P

I can image you like to stay with the little zingers rather then go with the fireworks on others there. :D Just remember to stay with the ceramic type since they will vaporize in a flash. Belive me I've seen a few of those go POOF! + SMOKE on a few occasions(cough cough phew!). Everybody crowds around while you are trying to clear the smoke out of your face when that happens. That's not in any school where you can play games with stuff.
 
well... even more fun ire the chemical big ELCO's.. ^^ when you put them onto a PSU wrong poled ( so, the + of the elco on the - of the PSU, etc ) and you put a low current through it ( really low, it shouldnt get too hot) you change the polarity of it ^^
and then put it back into the box.. :P someone gets it, solders it on, and pang!.. goo all around.

I know... it's a mean thing to do.. only did it once, and after i saw the mess those things make, i didnt do it again. yuk
