My Epson CX5000 all in one ran low on black ink. It put a window on my desktop "replace cartrige with genuine Epson ink cartriges". OK, so I click the X, which is grayed out and nothing happens, this rude message refuses to go away. I then right click the blue header and notice the exit X there is grayed out too. I then proceed to click on everything but the window will not close until I actually agree to buy Epson ink on line. Has anyone figured out how to get around this high pressure tactic without just dragging it out of view?

Yeah. Uninstall the piece of garbage, take a hammer to the printer, drop it off to the recyclers and buy a real printer. May I suggest HP? For $50 you can tell Epson to shove it. hehe
