Where would i find a microphone that has a decent recording quality?
My current webcam mic is shitty and all the sound is scratchy, i need a microphone with good quality sound recording any suggestions?

Are you doing instruments or vocals?

If you're doing instruments, the Shure Beta57 is a great option and can be found under $100 used.

Vocals the Shure Beta58 is also great and also can be found under $100 used.

Now if you are just talking about using the mic for chat purposes, I currently use the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000, and the mic on that seems to be quite good. Price for that one is about $40 retail, cheaper on Newegg.com
