High Temp

Hi
I recently received this message: Display Driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 266.58 stopped responding and has successfully recovered (this is the last one I received, the first ones were another driver version). I updated my driver the first time but i still get this same message.
I googled my message and all I could find was stuff about high temperature and burned memory/CPU/GPU so I installed speedfan software that tells my CPU and GPU's temperature.

Idle: CPU1&2 : 50°C GPU: 75°C
Gaming: CPU1&2: 70°C GPU 98°C

I believe those are excessive temp for my computer... I removed the guards under my computer and reduced by about 4-5°C.
My Laptop is always on a cooling pad.

Are the temperature too high? Why are the temp that High?

Thanks for answering me!

Are you overclocking?
Dust free?
Use nTune to crank up the fan on the gpu.
Other than that, it is a limitation of a laptop.

I didn't overclock. It's dust free. and I don't thin There's a fan on my GPU because it's a laptop video card.

I would try a Belkin cooling pad under your laptop, in your case I think it would reduce the heat.:) can't hurt anything.;)

well, I already have a cooling pad.
Thanks for answering me... but it's obvious it's my video card.
The VGA port died this afternoon.
I'll just throw my laptop away and buy a new computer

Buying a new laptop is the right choice IMHO.;)
