what is the fastest ram that i can put in an Asus A8n-Sli? the regular is 3200 but i have seen other ppl with faster, and in order to get faster ram do i need to overclock or sumthing?

The fastest RAM you can put in there is DDR400. You can dual-channel up to 4 GB of RAM. PC3200 dual-channeled has a transfer rate of up to 6.4 GBps, maybe that's what you've seen in terms of faster RAM.

looking through some newegg reviews on ram i see some of the higher speed ram on the a8n-sli board

Look at Corsair XMS. Get their dual channel pack of PC3200 with the 2.0 CAS latency. That should work just fine for ya
