Highest Value Monitor?

I'm looking for a new digital monitor for gaming, preferably greater than 20 inches. What should I look for in a monitor? What gives the best value? Any recommendations? Thanks

if your going around the 22-23 inch range you will want around a 1920x1080 display, the sweet spot for 24 inch monitors is 1920x1200, and for 27inch, its 2560x1440

Thats what I personally look for in a monitor, pixel densities per inch...when you get big displays at 1920x1080 its just going to look a bit worse...

Some monitors come with built in speakers. If you don't need them finding one without might bring the price down a bit.

For gaming it would be wise to look for the response time of the monitor , it is usually listed in the specs . you might get a little lag if it is too high .

I'd say any 1080p monitor with the refresh rate of 60hz or more and the size of 20+ inches will do the job. I'm using some acer 21.5 inch 1080p monitor and it's amazing. When I was buying it it was like $180 but right now you can get a refurbished one for something like $65 in walmart.

Sweet. That's a better price than I hoped for. Should I trust refurbished items?

50% of my pc is made up of refurbished items, refurbished means that they were used, then someone returned them, they were inspected by the manufacturer and all the major scratches have been fixed, so it's pretty much like new stuff.
