Ok. something is fishy here. I was having issues with my G61 (working as a forwarding medium for netflix to the tv). It was having popup issues and just general horrible performance. Shut it down and started it back in safe mode, and ran malewarebytes on it and had 18 infections. ,Now it wont let me use any of the shortcuts on the dock, and microsoft security essentials wont run at all. Still got pop ups running.

Please download and run this version of rkill and then run an updated malwarebytes quick scan.

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/iExplore.exe

Do not reboot the system after running rkill until after malwarebytes has been rerun.

do I need to rerun the hyjackthis?

I don't see anything bad in the log, however, you should uninstall the search toolbar in add/remove programs. If you are still having issues, let me know.

Ill uninstall that when I get home, and post back if there is any more issues.
