HIS AMD 6850 trouble with FRAPS

This is probably the wrong place to post, but as this is my favorite sub-forum, i will post it here.

As I recently upgraded a 530 in a different computer to the specs in my sig to a 6850, i get high FPS but when it comes to recording in FRAPS, it drops waayyy down, and almost becomes unplayable.

I know my graphics card can handle it.

Any ideas guys?

Fraps just does this.

I have a hd 6850 and dont bother using fraps anymore because of this,

Not much you can do tbh other than upgrade.


Or maybe monitor resource useage as you may have background programmes running causing extra slowdown.

Noticed that.

I got a fairly decent FPS increase when i closed some background heavy stuff, i was installing Project Reality at the time for bf2.
