His xfx 5770?

The HIS card has a slight overclock on the gpu as standard. This means that technically that silicon wafer (GPU) is of slightly better quality. Thus they can sell it at higher prices without having a mass recall and losing money.

The increase of 25MHz (875MHz) on the core and 50MHz (1,250MHz) on the memory is stuff all. I run my 5770 constantly at 960MHz and 1275MHz without a glitch at 35oC idle and 43oC load.

Just get the cheaper one and overclock it slightly.

My XFX 5770 (custom pcb, meant to be crappy) went to 1000/1400 on 1.25v. wouldn't go past 930/1300 on stock volts though.

The HIS one might have better cooling. I'd grab it if you don't really want to overclock it.

I own the HIS IceQ Turbo and it has been very good so far. It stays very cool and with the ATI Catalyst Control Center you can easily overclock it more and control the fan speed which is nice.

I bought it when there was a $25 MIR so it definitely made sense then. I think I would still pay a little bit extra for it though, great card.
