history problem

Since rebooting my computer my history list is different. It has small box icons by each address and when I click one it always says "windows cannot find..." Does anyone know how to get it back to the normal history addresses?

When you say history do you really mean your favourites? Are we talking internet explorer, firefox etc, what browser?

do you mean recent documents? If you move the orginal file or if the file was on a usb flash drive that is no loger attached and you click on the file in recent documents it wont load.

Thank you for 2 replies,I note they both query what I am talking about. On the tool bar of google internet page there is favorites and next to that there is a green arrow on a circle. When you put the curser on it the word "history" appears, click it and the sites you have visited over the past weeks appear. This is what I am having problems with as described in the my first note to the computer forum. Thank you for any help you can give. bye from stormy West Country in England
