hi
i am having problems installing this drive i am using windows xp home. i had a previous drive in this computer and wanted a faster one so i bought this one. i connected everything like it was before and now this drive does not show up at all. i know it is powered because it opens and closes. it is a new drive so i dont think the issue is with the drive itself. i am new to xp though so i dont know if there is something special i need to do.
please help!!!!
any help would be greatly appreciated!

No, you don't need anything. It should show up in My Computer if all's right.

Is all setup in the BIOS correctly? Does it show up there or can you boot from some CD using it?
