So when im not running anything at all it will run at these temps

GPU:70-74C 'indicated as hot'

Core 50-55C 'indicated as hot'

Temp1 isn't bad at all. even when im running skype or something its still pretty decent

Temps w/ skype open and in convo

GPU 79-83C 'indicated as hot'

Core 60-64C 'indicated as hot'

Temp1 45C 'indicated as normal Temp'

Im running a Compaq Laptop i've had about a year, tho its clean i checked the inside for dust cleaned out a bit but nothing that much really..

Im just curious as why its running so hot. Im using speed fan to get these temps

My Model is F579wm, 1 Gig Ram, AMD 64 Athlon x2 processor 1.77 ghz, Nvidia 6100.

Windows vista 32 Bit. Thanks for any help :)

If you don't have already, get a cooling pad for the machine and you should see those temps drops fairly significantly.

Yeah the fans might be removable also, if they are give them a good cleaning. I know on certain Dell models the fans come right out. I've seen this on my friends Dell, it would overheat after about 5mins of moderate use. I took it apart (minimally), cleaned the fans and it ran fine!
