Why do people bother with these overpriced items!!

Anyway they have, so I have to live with it.

A friend needs a home network setting up, no problem, but they also have a Mac and want this connected and to see the backup drive.

Its alot of years since I had a good play with a Mac so any tips gratefully received.

Thanks in Advance

Gary

Is the backup drive attached to a computer, or directly to the network? If it's directly on the network from the Mac you can go to Go > Connect to Server and enter in the IP of the drive. You can also go to System Preferences > Accounts and click on "login items" under that user and you should be able to have it mount the drive on login, in which case it will appear on his desktop.
