Home Network Problems

I have now for a few years had problems with my home network. in that, for example. the ports I'm trying to open is not open. and that I have tried to get my NAT type to be open, I can't do that either.

I just hope that there are some whiz-kids out there who can help me a little with this. will just tell how the network is set up and other details.

networking:
Provider -> Hitron Technologies BVW-3653 (modem / router. Received by the provider) -> D-Link Dir-825 (firmware 2.01EU) (router) -> D-Link DGS-1008D (switch) -> my computer

Computer spec:
Processor: I7 CPU [email protected]
Memory: 12288MB RAM 2000MHz
Video Card: Asus Direct II 6970 OC
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe V2
(if it helps the head: D)

Firewall:
BullGuard v12

have tried:
Fixed ip (dhcp)
DMZ
turn off the firewall on your router and computer
UPnP

so what i need a fix on is:
I can not open the gates.
I can not get my NAT type to be Open

Hope you can help.

is there anything else you want to know then just ask.

Thanks in advance.

You've got 2 routers in place. Which means you've got 2 nat layers. Judging from your post you don't really have a use for it. I'd suggest turning of dhcp on the d-link and stop using the wan port on the d-link. Then you'll have only one nat layer.

Then start port forwarding on the modem/router you got from the isp and test if it opens the ports.
