hooking up to TV

Hey guys. Sort of a noob question here.

I'll be soon be building a new rig. I just want to buy the case itself with parts first and skip out on the monitor since they're pretty pricey over here. I'm planning on hooking it up on my TV for the meantime while I'm saving up for a LCD Monitor. My TV is tube one (Sony Wega) with the Yellow,Red, and White Jacks. What cable do I need to make my TV my monitor? The GPU I'll be getting is a 8800GT 512mb.

I wouldn't do this. The picture quality will be horrible. What are you using for a monitor now? But the cable you would need is an S-Video to Composite cable.
 
Yes, the text in particular will look terrible. If you're just using it to watch movies or play games it isn't half so bad, but still a couple stone toss away from the quality of a good monitor.
 
i'm on a laptop right now and still saving up for a new build.

i really want to skip the monitor first so i can save up for a good one. i'll be gaming on my next build.
 
perhaps you could hook up to the laptop monitor. that at least would be higher resolution than a crt tv.
