Ive searched, cant really find my answer(s)

Tomorrow im purchasing a 50" Panasonic 1080P Plasma HDTV, Surround sound, and Blu-ray player. I want to hook my PC up so that i can play all of my movies off my hard drive and use my HT system for sound. Now, My specs are as follows

Q6600
3 Gb PC6400 corsair
680i Mobo
GTX260
X-fi Fatality Sound Card
150GB raptor X 10,000rpm HDD
500GB Seagate 7200rpm Storage Drive
Logitech Z5500? 5.1 Surround

I purchased an HDMI cable for the TV, also i have the cross over wire that goes from the sound card to the video card so i can pass sound through HDMI.

1. Do i hook the hdmi cable into the receiver or directly into the TV?

2. ...And if it goes into the receiver will i need another HDMI cable to go from the receiver to the TV. Sorry for all the questions.

3. Will there be a problem with the sound tryin to come out my pc speakers and HT system at the same time? right now im only using 2.1 for the PC + Sub.

thanks for the help

I assume you meant PC to TV in the subject ;)

1. It really depends on your video card and your receiver and how you want to play audio. Confirm your card will export both audio and video (might need to connect a small cable to your soundcard for audio support). From that point, your receiver problably pulls the audio from the cable then sends the signal on. I assume (but not certain) that you'd still get audio to your TV, so you can run with either your stereo, TV's speakers, or both. However, it might be one or the other.

2. Yes, PC > Receiver > TV. Two cables.

3. I'm quite sure my onboard card can have analog and digital playing at the same time, so you should be fine having both going if you want.
