Hope you're not getting sick of GPU recommendations!

Hello! I am designing a computer my first time and don't want to risk choosing the wrong GPU. I have heard that the GTX are the best nVidia cards to buy right now though.

Things it will be used for

Dual monitors (I find that my PC got too slow with dual monitors, so had to disconnect one),

Gaming (mostly for a Final Fantasy beta game. The requirements for now are NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800 or higher　VRAM 512 MB
Radeon™ HD 2900 or higher　VRAM 512 MB), but would prefer something that would mean I don't have to upgrade for as long as possible.

I will not be using an expensive monitor. I just have one standard one that came with my computer and a wide screen that was for sale, but I would like this graphics card to last me well for a a few years and there's always the possibility I could get a higher-end monitor, but this is no priority.

I have chosen to use the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7, with i7 930 and if overclocking GPUs isn't difficult, I would like to do this.

I think your other post has you going with a 5870, that is a good choice. Card to card ATI > nvidia right now. I think the 5870 is the best card to get if you can pay the $. The 5970 is faster but you have to deal with the dual GPU issue, the 5850 is close and you can save money but you are spending so much why not get the 5870? It is the fastest single GPU made right now.
