99% sure it's all compatible, not sure if I'll have to do much messing around in BIOS with voltages or anything (hope not). I don't plan to overclock(at this point) and it will be used for gaming, FPS, RTS, MMOs etc. Going to run it past my uncle, barring any objections or suggestions from him, this is what I am looking at to get.

Pretty solid build. The only thing I'd change is the HD to a Seagate 320GB with PPD. Just my personal preference. I have one and it's faster than my WD. :)
 
actually there are a ton of reviews just posted today that say they work now

and that build is sweet, literally identical to mine except case, GPU, and Heatsink/fan
 
Yeah, I've heard of the problems with the upgrade, but I don't plan to for atleast a year, I don't want it to hinder my gaming.

Just to make sure =P, that is the full version of Windows XP isn't it?
 
Only thing I am kinda worried about is some of the problems encountered with the eVGA mobo, I'll have to keep reading up on them.
 
EVGA have had several BIOS revisions for that board already, but it is still a bit sketchy. TP on the board supposedly isn't that great and you can't add a fan.
 
Just curious if anyone can make a better build for that amount - $1700. Or any single piece that should be different, thanks.
